The Training Center is located about two miles
north of Shirkieville, Indiana, which is on U.S. Route 150 about 12 miles east
of Paris, Illinois.
The information on these pages is intended to help
you, the members of Local 841, utilize your training facility more effectively.
All members, both apprentices and journeymen, are encouraged to take advantage
of the many opportunities offered here at the Training Center to improve your
skills and knowledge as Operating Engineers. A well-trained workforce of
Operating Engineers benefits everyone, including employers, members, and the
public.
With this in
mind, the Training Center is continually upgrading its programs, equipment and
facility. Our goal is to provide the most up-to-date, accurate and effective
training experience possible for the Local 841 members. We hope you will explore
